How do I purchase a puppy?

Step #2:  When we know we are going to have a litter, we will contact the people on our Wait List (in the order the requests were received) to see if you are still interested in purchasing a puppy.

Step #3:  If you are still interested, let's talk! 

​

Step #4:  Send in your deposit to hold a puppy from the upcoming litter.

​

Are the puppies AKC registered or registerable?

​

Yes, each puppy will come with AKC limited registration paperwork.

​

How much is the deposit?

​

Deposits are $300 and are non-refundable unless the gender you requested is not available when the puppies are born.  You may make your deposit via cash, check or Venmo.

When the puppies are born, what happens if the gender I requested isn't available?

​

We will gladly return your deposit or you can wait for the next litter.

​

After the puppies are born, how do I pick which puppy will be mine?

​

Puppy picking will happen around 6 weeks of age and occurs in the order of deposits received.  Picking puppies any earlier than 6 weeks is extremely difficult because their personalities are not really coming through yet.

 

If you are a local buyer, you are more than welcome to visit our home and pick out your puppy in person.  If you are an out of state buyer, we will do a video call with you (several if needed) and give you all the assistance we can in picking your puppy.  Ultimately, the decision is yours.  We do not pick puppies for you.  Please see our Testimonials Page for thoughts from previous customers on our puppy assessment and knowledge.

How can I watch the puppies grow?

​

We will send photos and videos of the puppies to our buyers as they grow.  If you are a local buyer, you are welcome to come and visit the puppies (appointment required).  Handling of the puppies may be restricted if the health of the puppies is a concern.

When and how can I bring my puppy home?

​

Taking your puppy home will be no sooner than 8 weeks old. 

​

IN PERSON PICK UP:  You may pick up your puppy in person (please bring a small kennel or crate with you for safe travel in your vehicle and a new collar). 

​

FLY IN:  You may also fly into Omaha's Eppley Airfield (OMA) and we can meet you at the airport with your puppy for you to fly home with.  There is a very nice large park by a lake just a block or so from the airport.  It makes for a very nice place for you to meet your new puppy and spend a few minutes with them.   

​

SHIPPING: At this time, we will not ship puppies.

​

DELIVERY:  We will also deliver the puppy to you (or meet halfway) for the cost of covering our mileage (calculated at the current IRS mileage reimbursement rate) and hotel cost, only if our drive is over 5 hours one way.  We will coordinate all of this with you and make a plan that works for everyone.

What is included with my puppy?

​

All puppies will have their tails docked.  All puppies will have their first round of vaccinations and de-wormer so they will be up-to-date on shots when you get them.

​

AND.... all puppies will be micro-chipped for you.

​

All puppies are sent home with 1) a blanket that smells like their mama,  2) a goodie bag of toys, treats, and a small bag of dog food,  3)  a "Welcome" folder filled with lots of information about puppies, their AKC paperwork, and their shot records
